...that's what i'll describe the feeling of this 7 year old dram from Signatory bottling. it's almost like having the liquid showered in to my mouth in sweltering tropical island. the nose gave the distinctive Laphroaig aroma and the taste was delightful as it gave warm salty yet rich and powerful Islay character.

purchased at an odd liquor shop in middle of bustling Tokyo, this was sadly the only one available and even if i returned to the shop, i couldn't purchase another one.

it was more warm than hot on my palate and the lingering finish was classic Islay and definitely one of the best Laphroaig finishes i've experienced.

i have always been reluctant to buy any independent bottlings but this purchase out of curiosity and having aged for my favorite number of years, i had to give it a try.

this one is one of top 10 best whiskies of my life!
