Macallan is one the worlds most well known whiskies in the world with bottles of rare Macallan fetching thousands.

I often wonder how much you're paying for a brand name with whisky the big names spend a fortune on advertising and this reflects on the price we as punters have to pay.

This is regarded as one of finest malts in teh world and it certainly has a wonderful smooth finish, maybe a little too smooth for me though.

On the nose i got a whiff of freshly cut grass with sweet sherry and maybe almonds.

This is as smooth as silk to drink and perhaps wasted on me as I was three sheets to the wind already, sweet with a definate hint of chocolate and orange.

You know if you like whisky with a punch this is not for you, if you like smothing smooth then it's all good.
