If I ever head to Europe, I'm going to Belgium, just to visit his collection...

Impressive but I'm guessing they're not all full 70cl bottles, right?

Only one full bottle was added, most are miniatures, my friends. I cannot afford 19 new bottles at once, believe me. In fact, the breakdown today is as follows: 36 full bottles, 4 half bottles, 73 miniatures and 34 samples (so the actual total is 147). The complete list can be found at blog.whivie.be. So no reason to be envious, folks. Although I did buy a Port Ellen 7th Release this week... :-) And indeed, if you ever come to Belgium and look me up, we can have a few drams.

Thanks, @Piero, I like to think so. I just acquired the Port Ellen 7th Release and a Bushmills 21 Year Old as full bottles, as well as another handful of miniatures, so will be updating again shortly. I collect the miniatures (and taste only those I have duplicates of and of recent production date).

The problem is that when reaching around some 30 bottles they start to get empty, then one have to start replacing those in adition to buying new ones

@Ole-Peder I agree, you can get yourself in a pickle if they all run out at once, careful rotation is essential.

Just added 12 more expressions to the cabinet (samples!). I'm aiming at 250 by the end of the year. Shouldn't be too hard... :-)

Just a picked up a Balvenie 12 Signature and am looking forward to having a pour or two tonight :-)

I wish I could find more miniatures about here in the States, but the distributors just do not offer many of them. The best I could do is to order those mini-samples from that fellow in Europe, but they are so small, and then there's the shipping. Wouldn't it be fun and convenient if someone would offer a sampler pack of 100 miniture (50 or 100 ml) bottles ! :-)

@PeatAndMeat I've heard good things, but I don't know myself, I haven't opened it yet.

I added a couple of bottles myself recently, clocking up +200. The wife is not amused :-)

Like a cat stalking a canary, I snagged 2 bottles of Talisker today. Talisker 18 for $65; Talisker Distillers Edition $74. I hurried out of the Little Italian Grocery store with a wide grin on my face. I may have to go back for yet another Talisker 18 as a possible present!

@Silas That sounds like a very good deal, were they priced up incorrectly?

@PeatAndMeat The guy said he just had a great buy on the Talisker 18. He had only 6 bottles. I'm not sure if the Distillers edition was a good price or not....I just saw it there and it was an opportunity. He also pulled down a Caol Illa Distillers edition.....said he had 2 bottles of it if I wanted one. He thought it very special. Never had it so I passed. Another confession: I also picked up a Black Bottle blend for $20 to keep out for casual company. Haven't tried it yet.
By the way, I have the Glenrothes Select Cask. Filled several 2 oz flasks to trade with my scotch buddies tomorrow. I find it is a pleasant dram, but a little light for my taste. However, I picked it up for $43 and found it to be worth the money. (of course, this is a newbie talking here!) I'll have some tomorrow and consider it again.

Just added four new Auchentoshan full bottles to the collection :-) Any suggestions on what Toshan definitely must be in my collection?
