Two drams given at the end of the distillery tour. Very common and easy to find whisky at a generally decent price (when compared to other Japanese options).
Nose Blueberry, oak spice incouding cinnamon and nutmeg
Palate Peach, fresh pear, a suggestion of cherry and wood spice.
Finish Intensely spicy, buttery and mouthwatering. Baked apple notes with cinnamon. By far the best bit of this dram.
Good whisky, but I’m struggling to justify the £50-60 price point. Honestly feels like the fact it’s Japanese is the only reason its priced as it is. Far too expensive.
