Update 1: The Party Source in Kentucky is now showing their Talisker 18 stock as 'sold out' (I think it has been that way for about a month or so).
Update 2: The LCBO has re-stocked the Talisker gift pack (I believe it still consists of the 10, DE, and 57N...no 18), though it is marked as 'limited supply'. Despite that, it does appear to re-appear regularly.
I would strongly recommend the distillers edition, I thought it very good and well priced. Curiosity but if I were to hypothetically send a Canadian friend some whisky, how would this work?
SAQ in Quebec carries a 3x20cl gift pack with Talisker 10, 13, and 18, but it is in limited supply (mostly in Montreal). NB Liquor in New Brunswick has a 3x20cl gift pack with Talisker 10, 18, and DE (three left)...otherwise it seems to be in short supply in Eastern Canada as well.
@Sroberts86...unfortunately, it wouldn't work...parcel package shipments of alcohol into Canada is not allowed (i.e. we can't buy from on-line retailers with any guarantee of success and most retailers won't ship to Canada because of this...a small blessing to my credit card bill).
I am lucky to live in the Saint Louis area it seems...the entire Talisker range, including 18yo, is readily available in multiple shops. I've enjoyed a couple bottles of the 18!
@hawkscotch, one option that is available here in Montreal is to have the bottle(s) shipped to a forwarding address in the states and then to go pick it up and pay the duty coming back into Can. Since NY state is so close to Mtl there are businesses on the border set up to do this.... Not sure if these exist in Washinton state but it may be a viable option since none of the online sellers will/can ship to Canada.... I have used a business that does this in NY state with a non whisky related product and it worked out great!
