My most prized bottle is an unopened 1973 Glen Flagler. Cherished because my wife bought it for me.

My most prized is my Bruichladdich Black Art 4. I bought it at the distillery last year, and I'm waiting for a special occasion to open it... I'm thinking my fortieth.

UserRemoved = The Immortal Whiskyshiba. Chris, buddy, you have been a great friend. I am sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you in person over a few drinks of whisky! I'll see you in the spirit world someday.
My rarest bottle is probably my one unopened bottle of Rittenhouse 21 yo rye, barrel 17. You just don't see those for sale anymore. Second? Maybe my unopened bottle of Octomore 2.1.
My most prized bottles are of:
1) Abraham Bowman 10 yo Rye, 69.4% abv, my favourite of all whiskies
2) Pappy Van Winkle 15 yo, 53.5% abv, 2010 release, Stitzel-Weller distillate, my favourite of all bourbons
3) Willett Family Reserve 18 yo bourbon, barrel # 79, "Sopressata", 69.7% abv, my favourite rye-containing bourbon
4) Supernovae, Octomores, the best Uigeadails, the best Corryvreckans, and Kilchoman SB "Severe Vehemence",...my favourite intense malts

Alberta Premium 25 and 30 YO are waiting for AP 35 YO to join them. That will be one hell of a hat trick for a special session.

The first bottle I ever won at an auction: The Macallan 1972 25 Year Old Anniversary Malt.

The bottle of Springbank 10 100 Proof I recently scored bent my thoughts back to this thread. I'm very very excited about it—maybe not 'Turf Mor' excited, but excited enough to post about it here for no good reason.
Anyway, here are my bottles that I prize the most or am just really excited about:
•Connemara Turf Mor (closed)
•PC7 (closed)
•Springbank 10 100 Proof, the US 50% ABV version (closed)
•Benriach 17 Solstice (open)
•Longrow Red (closed)
•Springbank Claret (open)
Damn, I've got some pretty rockin' stuff right now. Excuse me for saying so—I'm just seeing how I've really jumped up a level in the last year+. I specifically remember two years ago buying a couple heavily peated 46% IBs and thinking I was the king of Whisky Mountain. I still really like whisky of that caliber, but it's become my norm. I suppose this constant ramping up is how people turn around one day to find themselves buying a $10,000 Dalmore? Seriously, though, I think it's time to go grab a bottle of Jameson or something.

@AboutChoice I have recently come into possession of two bottles of the E&J Patriarch. I have sent a "friend" request here. Contact me if you would be interested in one or both.

My 2006 (possibly the best vintage of the last decade) Talisker 25 year old - they don"t make the cask strength 25's like that anymore, all brought down to 'standard' 45,8%...

@paddockjudge, is Alberta Distillers Limited really planning to release a 35 yo Alberta Premium?

@OlJas, you seem quite excited about that 100 Proof! I've got a bottle of the 57% release open and on the go right now. I'm not as in love with it as, well, everybody, but it is good. I know of a local store that has several bottles of it left in stock, I think you've just inspired me to grab a second for the vault!
I'm pretty happy about some of my discontinued Glendronachs that I think trump the standard range; the Octarine 8 yo and the Platinum 16 yo. Both brilliant.

@Victor, there are indications that 30+ YO juice remains in the Alberta plant and some close to the source have hinted it could happen. Personally, I think not even Kentucky could fix this one (w/out some flavouring spell)...if it is released, I'll let @talexander try it first.

@paddockjudge
would be worth trying for the experience...

I have 3 prized bottles. A Laphroaig 2014 Cask strength and a Talisker Distillers Edition 2011. Both bought at the birth of my children to share a dram with them as adults.
For me, a Royal Brackla 1976 33yr old. One to open and drink with my dad on my 40th.
None of them hugely expensive but all emotional purchases that mean something to me.

@hunggar , I'd love to try the 57% version of the Springbank 100 Proof, but I think the magic--if there is any--comes from the lack of sherry. So I think--think!--they'd be similar in taste profile. Less sherry, more salt!

I don't have a prized bottle, but I have a prized collection of bottles that when taken together as a whole create something that is wonderful and unique. The bottles I speak of are my collection of Plantation Rums. They are nearly impossible to acquire in the US, but each of my 7 bottles represent a rum that is distinct to its country of origin: Barbados (not the 5 year), Jamaica, Grenada, Guyana, Panama, Nicaragua, Trinidad, and St Lucia. To sit down and have a dram from each bottle is an experience that surpasses everything but the most elaborate and rarest whisk(e)y tastings. The range of flavors destroy any notions of rum as something inferior, too sweet, lacking in depth, ect. I served this flight to a few choice friends new years eve, they all made resolutions to seek them out for their own collection.

@OlJas @Victor I know exactly what you are saying when it comes to spending $$$ as your collection and pallet refinement grow. I have the opportunity right now to buy a bottle of 2014 Angel's Envy Cask Strength, but I just can't justify spending $200 on another bourbon. I was severely disappointed with the cost to X factor of Jim Beam Distiller's Masterpiece for about the same cost. Especially knowing what $200 could also get me some scotch with much greater complexity or 2-3 bottles that I know I'll enjoy.

Starting to catalogue the collection as it presently is and probably about 20% done. So far, the SMWS bottling 132.2 of 1991 Karuizawa called: "Stunning panorama of exotic fruits" appears to be the most expensive and valuable.
