That's exciting news, their Punk IPA is one of my go-to ales. Do you have a pic of the whisky @Alanjp?

I certainly do @jeanluc, I'll open it soon enough but my collection has grown and I need to work through my open bottles before sampling any more!

Apologies @jeanluc I didn't realise the picture would come out so large!

Hello there @Alanjp !
I had read about this release. I like some of Brewdog's beers but dislike several more. I find they're generally full flavoured/extremely hopped but with little balance or subtly (ie craft.....which seems somewhat amiss for a brewery that claims to have practically founded the "craft beer" movement, in the UK at least). I wouldn't be surprised should their foray into whisky leave me similarly cold. That said, I'd be interested in trying Uncle Duke sometime. Look forward to your tasting notes.
I also loathe their particularly aggressive and moronic marketing.

Evening all, it's been a while since I've frequented Connosr but the new look has brought me back with some refreshed vigour!
A friend of mine is a shareholder in Brewdog, the "craft" beer company, and kindly informed me recently that they were producing their own whisky. From what I understand, the Uncle Duke's single grain (4 year old) that they have released isn't entirely their own, it's the product of an "unnamed distillery". With my friends discount I now have a bottle, and will be opening it shortly, but I wanted to know if anyone else has sampled this yet, and if so, what do you think?
There's also the fact that Brewdog opened their own distillery up in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, calling it the Lone Wolf Distillery, with a view to producing their own spirit. Any thoughts of this new venture into the whisky market?
