Happy Birthday to Dramlette! A toast to you with Alberta Premium Limited Edition 30 years old, only because I don't have a 29 year old whisky. Cheers!

Thank you @paddockjudge! Such a charmer! Enjoyed a bit of John J. Bowman at dinner. Reminds me why I love bourbon. Hoping our paths cross again in this new year.

Happy Birthday @Dramlette! May the coming year be the best yet. I shall finish my bottle of Parker's Heritage 4th edition (a birthday bottle for me, which was opened on my 'big day' in 2011) in celebration.

@pudge72, @nock, @wills, @mrgargus,@cpstecroix, many thanks for the birthday greetings! Still celebrating, this evening with Francophile friends, and not a drop of whisky, but a delicious French 75 cocktail and lovely Chateauneuf de Pape. One must be well rounded and cosmopolitan in one's taste and experience. This Universe is infinite. So mote it be!

Tomorrow @Victor is your birthday; on the eve of this special occasion, I've prepared a tasty flight which you would certainly enjoy: Jameson Gold Reserve, Canadian Club 20 YO, Four Roses 125th Anniversary Barrel Strength, and Macallan Cask Strength. Happy Birthday my friend, à la santé!

@Victor,

In honour of your birthday tomorrow and in somber commemoration of mine yesterday, I'm hosting a whisky tasting at which I plan to offer 5 whiskies, 3 of them cask strength. Of course, the people who come may bring something to try, or we may change the agenda as a group but I will personally be drinking the following in your honour, and possibly in this order:

  • Forty Creek Heart of Gold

  • Amrut Cask Strength

  • Aberlour A'Bunadh batch 45 (to match my new age)

  • Springbank Cask Strength (or Claret Wood if there is demand for it)

  • Ardmore Traditional Cask

I look forward to meeting you at the Spirit of Toronto!

Claret wood is more interesting I think than just the Springbank Cask Strength, which is also quite good, but not as nuanced. Happy Birthday, Nozinan! I've just gone through my second bottle of Claret. Have one more left

Am I to understand that you both share a May 29 birthday? Wow! And both on CONNOSR....

Well, I have no guarantees I can hoist a dram in your honours tomorrow but I raise the remaining 2/3 of the dram of A'Bunadh I poured myself 2 days ago and couldn't finish, I raise it to you both.

@paddockjudge Happy Birthday! Just quaffed the sample dram of Octomore Comus 4.2 in your honour. It was very interesting. A singular whisky that met my expectations. Peat, linament,licorice,smoke with an oily consistency. I am not a white wine drinker so could not pick out the Sauterne casks but this was a very rich experience. Glad you are getting older. Jonesz
