This might be the same as the Bushmills original. I dont know. It is a nice smooth vanillawhisky. It is blended, but not from a huge number of distilleries, because there arent that many distilleries in Ireland. I like its softness, and the basic clean whiskything. I bought this one to avoid using my expencive stuff in the coffee and tonight I am testing it side by side with the Mortlach Rare Old and the Bushmills Black Bush. There is a slight etanolscent in this, that is less pleasant than it in is the other two more expencive bottles. I say most vanillascen and oak and ,slightly citrus and etanol. The bottomline. I like it. And it is the cheapest whisky that I like. Not bad at all. I use the simple scoring, and it gives me a vague smile, I can really recommend it as a nice one it its pricerange. I did not add a single drop of water, because I dont think Bushmills like water. I wonder if this can improve if the bottle is put away some years???

I devaluated this Bushmill today, taking a second taste. I added a drop of water, maybe that was a mistake. The scent didnt please me today. Too medical.
