Clynelish Adelphi 16 Year old

Nose:

Fresh fruity nose mainly limes and grapefruits. A big waxy profile which i am fast becoming a big fan of. Theres also a light peaty, mineral side to it.

Taste:

Very much in keeping with the nose, fruity, waxy, the peatiness is more prominent than it was on the nose but not overpowering though.

Finish:

Long, dry, peaty , spicy.

Comment:

A great whisky ticks all the boxes, fruity, fresh, peaty, waxy, all beautifully balanced.The only thing missing is a nice rich sherryness, better crack the refill sherry butt bottling open and see what its like eh? Lifes a bitch...
