I'm looking at a muted gold appearance with a minor level of sediment.
The nose is quite interesting. A long sniff and I get quite a big boost of alcohol burn. There's a hint of tobacco but honestly I sense green tea, caramel, oak and vanilla extract. Maybe a hint of coconut and pine.
Taste is palatable if you don't swish it around too much. Vanilla, charred oak and dried leaves. Very sweet like vanilla ice cream. A slight overpowering astringency for such a low ABV whiskey and may do well with a drop or two of water.
Despite the low overall rating, it's quite drinkable and very accessible with a low price point. It could be a daily drinker honestly.

For the price (I paid $19 BT), this is exceptional whisk(e)y. Not complex nor exciting, but just a really good sipper. Kinda like "comfort food" that is pleasing and relaxing. I went back and got two more bottles and gave one to a friend. He's now hooked on it and got his liquor store to order him some bottles. It does need a dash of water to cut the alcohol, but that also brings out more flavor. Highly recommended!
