  • ABV: 40%

Colour: Bright gold.

Nose: Vanilla, oak, butterscotch, slightly floral and slightly fruity.

Palate: Smooth, butterscotch, slightly spicy, fruity. It does have a bitter edge which builds over time though.

Finish: Fruity, butterscotch, oak and again a building bitterness.

Overall: Surprisingly smooth and sweet for a cheap blend which I’d never heard of before. In fact I couldn’t even find a website for the company (maybe I didn’t try hard enough) or any proper tasting notes for this one for comparison. It does however have a bitterness which builds the longer you hold it in your mouth – I recommend if you decide to buy this to drink it quickly and not to try and savor it for too long otherwise it might ruin your evening!

yeah this was always the cheapest whisky at the irish pub i went to back in alabama. i never tried it, although the name is great. it deserves an extra point just for that!
