PeterG7, I had the opportunity to try the Cask of Dreams. I personally did not like it. I feel that it has a sourbitter finish, and the overall taste didn't taste like any of the core range Glenfiddich malts. I felt that it had a cheap taste.....definitely over priced, in my opinion!

Thanks @StevieC for saving me a hundred bucks - had my eye on this one for some time and just couldn't pull the trigger.
I'll pick up something dreamy, like the FC Port Wood Reserve, and have $30 to spare.
Cheers!

@StevieC Thanks for your comment. I did a little more research and I'm thinking this was slick marketing ploy. Apparently, people were asked to sign empty oak barrels in many different cities. These empty oak barrels were sent back to Scotland, filled with a 14 year old whisky, left for 3 months and volia it becomes the "cask of dreams". Like I said, a very cool marketing strategy.

I was given a bottle as a gift, and I liked it. Is it worth $100? Maybe not, but I found that I liked it more than the core Glenfiddich bottlings. It is likely due to the higher ABV of the Cask of Dreams. I won't argue that it's great value, but on its own merits, I thought it was a fine dram.

I'm not a Canadian but I bought two of these and just opened one, there is definitely a lot going on in this one. I do recommend it even though the price tag is steep. I will review this as it get's closer to the end of the bottle. 48.8% abv wow. :)

I saw this at the LCBO last night. I'd be interested to know if any Canadians have tried it and if so, what they think of it?
