@Victor...thank you so much for the kind wishes. Some very nice whisky moments have already occurred during my 39th spin around the sun. :)

Happy Birthday to @Nozinan! Looking forward to seeing you at S o' T.

I'd raise a glass to toast your special day, but my arm is sore...and it is probably your fault.

Happy Birthday, @Nozinan. It seems like more than the 22 hours that it has been since we saw you in Toronto as your birthday dawned. Have a great next 46 years!

Thank you all for the. It they wishes. It went fairly well. At my age I don't look for the perfect day, just a good day.

I gave my palate a rest after the drubbing it took last night ( though technically last night spilled into today with a very nice Amrut single cask that went past midnight).

I am now eligible to open my A'Bunadh 46, but it may be a few days before I'm ready....and I do have to save part of my liver for next week at Spirit of Toronto, where I hope to see many of you.

A very Happy Birthday to you! I will be thinking about our misadventures from last week for a long time, and if I do have a chance to raise a glass, it will be something in your honour. And as close to barrel proof as I can get.

I will echo the sentiments of paddockjudge and Nozinan and wish @Victor a very happy and healthy birthday. Pours of OP 18th Century and/or Stagg will be had in your honour!

A Big Happy Birthday to you, Victor! Like Pudge72, I will go for OP 18 century style in your honor. That will probably be followed by Bookers and a Vatting of Cutty Sark Prohibition and Forty Creek Confederation Oak. All of those, I have and appreciate because of what I learned reading you. Enjoy another year of discovery, learning and friendship... Cheers!

@paddockjudge "They it's Your Birthday" hope you have a good one. Will have a shot of Legacy later in your honour. Too bad it couldn't be your special concoction as the only Highwood I can get here is the 5Yr old. Special mention also to Talexander. I enjoy your reviews a lot. Jonesz

Thank you to the Birthday 'well wishers'. My 55th was an enjoyable event. My drams of choice were Alberta Premium, Alberta Premium 25 yr, Alberta Premium 30 yr, and CR Monarch...all four are outstanding examples of great Canadian Rye Whisky.

  • The temptation was too great and I couldn't resist. AP25 + AP30 = AP55. Happy Birthday to me!

  • This most recent batch of Alberta Premium L5070AD200400 is quite impressive.
