Idk anything about lunar new year or whatnot, but I did have some bourbon tonight. Knob Creek and then WT 101. I have to do some work right now, but I'll probably have more bourbon later OR a homemade blend that was given to me. Gung Hei Fat Choy !!

@casualtorture I have lots of Bai Jiao, but no one to drink it with. Only some of my in-laws drink it. But my brother's wife has talked about having some one day. And as we are going to be feasting on dumpling tomorrow, maybe...
Otherwise, tonight I'm hoping to do a H2H of the first 2 batches of AP CS. You have to be strong as an ox to handle that, eh @paddickjudge?

@Nozinan I'm not sure as I don't think we get that here. But you do need strength to handle bai jiu. It's tried to kill me at several dinner parties and weddings.

@casualtorture The stuff made in Xinjiang (well, at least the stuff that is sold legally) was tasty in small amounts, and bottled at 46%. But I've seen other stuff in the 50s...

@Nozinan, APCS tastes like candy and hits with the force of a hammer.
@casualtorture, shared a pair of cask strength beauties with @Nozinan during a virtual tasting; APCS 2019 and 2020.
Happy New Year

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! If anyone is celebrating, drop what dram you'll be having. I'll be having at least one glass of Laphroaig Cairdeas Quarter Cask tonight with all of the lovely dinner delights. Seems fitting considering the nasty icy weather and wonderful meats my wife is prepping. Couldn't find any Bai Jiu around here so not quite traditional but I think I prefer Laphroaig anyway ;)
