Mezcal University (I joke) in Baltimore

There's a very well-regarded Mexican restaurant in Baltimore named Clavel. One can't get in without reserving far in advance because folks from DC are booking it up. The pics of their food suggest why this is the case....

In any case, they offer what looks like an amazing tasting and education into Mezcal. It's quite expensive, but look at what the choices are. I wish I didn't have a December birthday! barclavel.com/wp-content/uploads/…

Most of these Mexcals are "brands" I've never heard about before. They are where they come from (terroir). Some are so rare that they are not brands. I'm not sure if I can afford to go all in for the Mezcaleria experience (though much of the money goes to the farmers, something to consider), I will try some of these Mexcals if/when I get into the place, which is generally not very expensive when it comes to food. Definitely a new place to take visitors to Baltimore. My wife just informed me that they don't take reservations, Her friend loved it, Maybe if I show them my disabled placard I'll get a seat...(am I channelling George from Seinfeld? No, he had no placard!)In any case, after that, I can start working for he NY Yankees, www.youtube.com/watch
