Nose: Malty and very vegetal. I see where they get the Green peppers from the name. Honey. I'm not sure that I like this vegetal quality and strength. It's a bit off to me and bitter-sour. Vanilla and peppery. Just a bit odd, really. (with water) More frosting, vanilla, and light flour (yes) sweetness. More malty and thankfully the vegetal notes have dissipated and are faint at most.
Palate: Sweet with honey, sugary dry malt. Bitter toasted wood contrasts with it a bit. Some nutty oil. There's still something slightly off and sour. Spice is in there, bery light. It's nice but a bit out of balance. Green apple skins too for its fruit. (with water) The funk comes out more here -- the wood? Vanilla, honey, grain, and wood/strongly vegetal in nature.
Finish: The vegetal and wood persist along with the light malty and honey-vanilla profile. Another easy malt, but the vegetal quality was just too much for my liking.
