@jeanluc,
some of my most memorable pours have been in a plastic cup.

@paddockjudge so true, sometimes whisky is about the moment not the glassware...

For me the answer to this question has more to do with my curiosity level and how difficult it is for me to get a bottle, than the quality of the whisky inside.
For example, I have on my wishlist a French 100% Rye called Vulson Old Rhino, aged one year in new French oak, and three years in ex-cognac barrels. The novelty of this whisky makes me really quite curious and I'd love a bottle. Problem is, I have no plans on going to France for the foreseeable future. And while importing it is do-able, I find it too expensive a proposition just to satisfy my curiosity. So it'll have to remain on the wishlist until I find myself in France.

Got to be Port Ellen - of course to get it I would have to win the lottery first.

For me, I would like to get a Brora or an Ardbeg from the '70. I would be ecstatic just to be able to buy a dram.

One bottle more in my budget would be a Kornog Sant Ivy CS. Unfortunately, it is not available in Quebec, or in Noth America as I know. Why that bottle, I am a French Canadian and that is a French peated whisky at cask strenght that is supposed to be as good as any Islay.
