It is illegal to ship or cause to be shipped liquor across provinces.
What I HAVE done is ordered stuff online in three different circumstances:
In calgary, I ordered an Amrut I couldn't get here and had an in-law pick it up. No law against that, and we enjoyed opening that bottle next time I visited.
I have had friends and relatives visiting the uk and the Netherlands, and had online shipments sent to where they were staying, and they brought it in as their duty-free exemption. No law against that.
When necessary to get something before it runs out, I have ordered from both Master of Malt and WE and had it shipped to a friend in Florida. He brings in the bottles one at a time. Slow (still a backlog of 5 Bladnochs), but faster than I drink it. When he lived in California I ordered from an online shop there once. Same deal.

I am just curious if any of my fellow Ontarians have ever ordered whisky online from either a store in another province or abroad? I know about the tight legal restrictions in Ontario, but I am sure there must be a way.
