I have tried the range (8, 12 and 21). The distillery is on Skye, where Talisker can be found. The 8 is mediocre, the 12 is ok, but the 21 is an very good whisky. I recently had a blind tasting in which the Poit Dhubh 21 came out as the best (of course, a lot depends on the whole line up and that was rather ordinary with Bushmills 10, Cardhu 12, Inchmurrin 10, Poit Dhubh 21 and Connemara Single Cask). I have not made any proper notes, though, sorry.

@markjedi1 Cheers MarkJedi, I'll put it on the 'consider for Christmas list' along with the Octomore and the Mezcal Del Maguey Chichicapa (:

We were there just last month, staying at the hotel right next door. We tried everything this place has to offer, the 3 blends and the 4 blended malt blends. Came away with the 30yo, 8yo, a miniature of the 21yo and the Te Bheag. I was very impressed with the 8yo, 21yo and the 30yo, but the 12yo was my least favourite.
Just for information, they don't yet have a distillery, they have land / premises and the permission, but they're at that ever important funding stage.

I have the 8 yo on my wishlist (it and Te Bheag are the only bottles from this distillery in Ontario). The Te Bheag is an awesome blended whisky, imho! Think Talisker crossed with sherry casks (at least to my novice palate). It will be a bottle that will be a regular occupant in my cabinet.
