Singleton 10 Year Old

The Singlton is smooth and mellow and better than some have rated. I would rcomend it to new drinkers to try. I like it and enjoy it at noon as a pre lunch drink.

Was this the newer Singleton of Dufftown you were enjoying, Johnny, and not the older Singleton of Auchroisk? I have had a few glasses of the Dufftown and find your review to be right on the mark. The Dufftown Singleton is an elegant, enjoyable dram.

Unfortunatelly there is nothing to describe about it. it has a bit of nose......just a bit....and another bit of taste...stilll a bit. sorry for the coment but i can't do more.

Singleton - 10 Years Old (Auchroisk, Speyside)

This expression seems to have an interesting History and as I understand it (I could be wrong) is no longer available, there are now 'singletons' produced at other distilleries (Dufftown, Glendullan and Glen Ord).

This dram was seen as a designer whiskey, some disliked the name 'The singleton' for some it felt like a proclamation this it was the best. The story behing the name is that 'Singleton is easier to pronouce than 'Auchroisk'.

Like the earlier reviewer that found this 'Whiskey' at a ferry port, I had a taster at an airport in the UK there seemed to a strond drive in the duty free market.

Singleton was a light to medium whiskey.

Medium amber color The nose had Peat, sherry, heather, fruit, light smooth body. This expression was known for its sweetness, with some fruit and some.

I like the finish but I know it was a little short for some.

The singleton was smooth and a great into to Spey side, its a shame its gone. I have yet to taste the Auchroisk F&F or Diageo's Singleton of Glendullan

bought a bottle of Singleton in a french supermarket, for less than £20, i had noticed it on the ferry at it's special duty free price of £28!!! i was very surprised at the fine smooth quality of the whisky and its Caramel flavours.
