@misslauren I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. You have both my and my wife's deepest sympathies. If there is anything at all that we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy the Signet tonight. As Talexander already said you've more then earned it.

@misslauren, you have deep sympathies from Dramlette and from me on the loss of your partner.
Advise on the Signet, gas it after 5 months if you keep it past that point. It is still enjoyable, but it loses something.

Caperdonich 1972/2002 Hart Brothers cask strength - great whisky in great company and a glorious ending for a very stressful day.

@misslauren, deepest condolences from Canada, keep it together. Very good choice on dram, it is a little slice of heaven that you do deserve at this rocky time.

Thank you all for your condolences, support, and warm wishes. A good dram is nice to have in these times but friends mean more.
For what it's worth, the Signet did not disappoint. A wonderfully luxurious and sensual whisky.

@ misslauren, You are correct , material things pale in comparison to friends, family, and health. your description of signet is a good use of adjectives. chocolate and coffee often have that effect. To your health...

@misslauren Very, very sorry to hear. I will join you in a dram of Signet. Let's think of it as friends who've never met sharing a drink and thinking of good times to come. Take care.

Just putting paid to the last couple of inches of my Laphroaig 18. Had it for almost a year and it is just as good as, or better than it ever was.

Having walked down the same road as misslauren more times than I care to remember, things are going to suck but they will most definitely get better. I'll be thinking positive thoughts misslauren. Today was one of those days in which you wished people sucked less so I am anticipated a moderate but multi-dram night. I may take a short tour of Islay with stops at Caol Ila12, Laphroaig CS, Laddie Organic, Laphroaig18 and my final stop at Laga16. Hopefully this time next week I'll be enjoying a bottle of Laphroaig15.

I've been neglecting my scotches lately since being distracted by bourbons and ryes so in an attempt to reconnect with my SMS's I'm having some Hazelburn 12 year old from Campbeltown. Very nice.

@Wodha I finally got around to the Cardhu 12yr old that's been in cabinet for a while. I will try it over this weekend to see if I like it. :)

I got my first bottle of Laphroaig 10 to introduce myself to 'peat' scotches and at first was put off by the iodine smell, but a week later it has much less of the iodine and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I may try a bottle of Lagavulin 16, can't wait!
