Talisker Distillers Edition 2013

I was looking for a whisky to order with my first paycheck, now i bounced around with Kilchoman Machir Bay 2013, Port Charlotte 10 Heavily Peated, and Ardbeg Uiggie in the end I decided it was high time to try a Talisker product and I picked this one. Now the reviews of the 2012 bottling say how smooth it is, I think it was a lower proof this one is not as smooth but still sublime.

Nose: Peppery,Peat, Brine, Seaweed, vanilla, light hint of dark fruits, chili, olive.

Palate: Peppery, Brine, Seaweed, Vanilla, Light brush of dark fruits, chili, olives like walking by an olive tree.

Finish: Peppery, Seaweed, Chilli, Olives.

Nice and tasty, not very smokey though. Enjoyable and fun to drink.
