So it looks like cider and alcopops really got it in the neck with the budget: these are to rise at 10% above inflation from this Sunday. Which is a shame because cider (like anything) has some really decent stuff, and it'll be annoying if this impacts the local, small-production sales.
Other spirits will rise at 2% a year until 2013 - I assume this is not tagged to inflation, but seems to be about the "desired" inflation level more generally.
So a £30 bottle... I calculate will go up around 60p per year or so, all else being equal?
