There is a pronounced lack of whisky on the site. Hazelburn is only one of dozens poorly represented. The 2010 is out and the 2009 got sidelined. Does connsr have favourites?

@Rex-Alban A lot of the whiskies get added when users try them. I didn't realise the 2010 had appeared...time to go on dram hunt, methinks.

Just discovered this site , I am so happy , Its good to hear discussions on single malts , most friends think that if i don't drink Rum , or guzzle beer there is something wrong with me.

There are but just a few people i can chat about my hobby / passion with , hope to chat alot in future .

Just to hear different perceptions , opinions on malts is very refreshing

Have you tried Douglas Laing's Islay & Orkney Double Barrel; Highland Park and Bowmore both at 10 y.o. and both 46% alc./vol. Despite seeming poles apart, this works beautifully in a light easy drinking style; the sea shore peat of Bowmore combining with the shallow cut and delicately smoky peat of the Orkneys in a sophisticated and memorable drop... what say you?

@lucadanna1985

@willier287 what kind of stuff would you like to buy? SIngle malt? With your budget maybe I would try Highland Park Hjarta...oh and those nice people from Jura have just e-mailed me saying that their 21 years old celebrating the 200th anniversary is around and costs just 90-100 £ (also the package is great)...

Talisker 10 years old how proud of myself I am that I've trusted myself , followed intuition,and reviews, bought first bottle today , what a well balanced whiskyfall of peat,smoke, sweetness, vanilla, maybe walnuts, comparible to Lagavulin 16years old, keeps the pace , but diffrent , sweeter much sweeter,peat without an iodine. Strongly recommended for peat lowers , till 13th in ASDA all single malts 25% off,great christmas present! Go!

Connosr is lovely, but if we could make it better, why not? Tried to ad 'Clan Denny - Islay' to my wishlist. Vatted Malts is not a listed category. Didn't find it in other categories either. Tried to find it in the Review section. Missed a search engine there. I'm in my thirties but I seem to need Connosr a little more Grannyproof.

Hi everybody I am new to this ,so I am just doing a little introduction .I am in Auckland New Zealand and have enjoyed the reviews and comments on this site so decided to join in. My wife and I will be in the UK in February and March. A trip to Islay has been deemed compulsory ,My wife is not keen on Whisky so -- lucky me,I am looking fore ward to an extensive and tasty round of tasting of all that peaty nectar with a sober driver.

Been awhile since I logged on. I noticed that the Canadian whisky category is no longer available when adding bottles to my cabinet. Got a bottle of the Forty Creek Confederation Oak. Fantastic rye!

@A'bunadhman Hello, I'd like to ask you a question if I may. But first just to introduce myself. I'm a lover single malt scotches for I believe 10yrs or more, I've drank a few and slept since then, and doing this all in the great state of Texas, minus the dust. Since I've been on this site I read alot of good things about Aberlour A'bunadh. The question is, what is it about A'bunadh that makes it so appealing and good? Thank you taking out of your time to read this posting.

I woke up today to my dog, "Frodo" a 3yr Basset Hound dog, telling me it's going to be a good day tater. Why I ask? He said this is the day you purchase a bottle of Aberlour A'bunadh & 12yr old double casks matured. Yes, that's right; however, dude you can only observe my enjoyment of such. Sorry if this little bit offends anyone. He's company while the wife is at work.

Have a wonderful day my friends.

sorry folks .but I think any whisky with no smoke or peat is just" fruit juice" the true taist of scotland can only be found on Islay (fact)..
