Hello to everyone. Like all of you, I love my whisky and I´m still searching for my "desert island" bottle. Would it be a strapping Islay? a bruiser like Ardbeg, or the more refined Lagavulin? Might it be the classiest of mid price malts, Highland Park 18 yr old? Or should it be my first ever malt: a bottle of Macallan, drunk after 30 years of swearing off whisky after an unfortunate incident at the age of sixteen with a half bottle of Famous Grouse(ouch).

Make that 16 bottles, my friend. Don't you just love going on holiday and finding a whisky shop around the corner from where you are staying? :-)

My Talisker 18 went in too smooth tonite. It's such a treat. Will I take one more, something else ?

Just got back from a wonderful tasting and came home with 6 new expressions. And the wife was even with me, giving suggestions as to what to buy! How lucky can a man get?

@markjedi1 Good work on the whisky tasting, 6 bottles + wife's approval = result! We have a lot to learn...

@PeatAndMeat unlimited supply of charm, quite a bit of brownnosing and lots of good s--. No... let's not go there. I'm just a lucky bastard, I guess. My wife indulges me quite a bit. Now, mind you, I may have over 100 expressions in the cabinet, but there are only 28 full bottles. Most are thus half bottles, miniatures and samples. @expensivevino, nice to find you here. Send me a PM and we'll work something out for your label collection.

@JL, cheers! In the meanwhile, let me just add - to show how lucky I am with my Dearly Beloved - she agreed last night to go visit some distilleries in Schotland end of September. Auchentoshan will be my first stop! :-)

I'm glad to have found this website. I was thinking about starting something similar but now I don't have to. Looks Great!

Most times I don't like it when people invite me to join social networks. Sometimes I can't but do so.
This time, I owe a good friend a couple more Sense Impressions of my prime bottles. Or another f(l)avor for that matter.
If only the entire web could look like this site...
Just fab!

You're talking music here. Did I miss a button somewhere? And somehow I lost the widget link...

Sneaking it in? Get out of here guys! Find yourself another woman. Analyzing tastes is one our favorite activities. By the way, my mother in law is a 1928 born Bushmills connosr herself as well. So is her sister of 80 plus we better keep a bottle of Glenfidich on the shelf for. Don't tell me you can't find a woman sharing your love for whisky.
