Just got a bottle of Laphroaig Triple Wood and a Compass Box Peat Monster. I'm about to finish my Ardbeg 10, so one of those is probably going to be opened pretty soon (i.e. tonight!).

Actually Ardbog hasn't arrived yet,so I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch.(Also if it were $110 around here, I'd have to taste it first.) I'm also waiting for a bottle of Elijah Craig CS to come in.

Isle of Skye 12yr old. Wow @Victor was right when he said to try this one. Nice. :)

Just picked up another bottle of Aberlour 18 and Glenfarclas 25. I think I might drop a few bills on an old Bowmore next.

@msudukie Yes, it's only available in travel retail. My mother in law was on vacation in the U.K. last week and picked up a bottle for me.

Today's new purchases: bowmore 16 cask strength, briuichladdich 3d2nd edition, and ardbeg ardbog (had to do it).

Tonight, between the first and second period of the Chicago vs. LA contest, I managed to strengthen my bench by adding a couple of top six Canadians - Wiser's Legacy and Royal Canadian SB...and for good measure Maker's 46.

I was happy to get my hands on the (overhyped) Ardbeg Ardbog and opened it immediately. And loved it. Thank the Maker!

@Pudge72. Do you know something I don't? I haven't seen Balvenie 15 in BC for about 2 years. If it's back I'll be all over it. We have had the 17 but not the 15.

@HeartlessNinny, re transporting and swapping whiskies via an interpresonal network: NB the previous posts about the Scottish malts not sold in the US, but sold in Canada, eg Glenfarclas 15, Aberlour 10, Talisker 57 Degrees North.
Doing favours back and forth does not need to be limited to exchange of whisky-for-whisky favours. And, where there is a relationship of trust, repayment of a favour does not need to be immediate.

@StevieC - that is one very large top shelf you have in your cabinet, I'm getting a nose bleed just reading about it! ;) Some very nice selections indeed.

Sorry @Pudge72. I meant Glenfarclas 15 not Balvenie. It was late last night and I confused Glenfarclas with Balvenie. Now that I think of it we have not seen Balvenie 15 year old single barrel here for a while either. I think my next purchase will be the Kilchoman Machir Bay while there are still a few bottles around. It gets pretty good reviews. Cheers.

@paddockjudge Thank you! I know, I have gotten carried away this past year! My tastes are getting more costly. But, the way I see it, it is sheer entertainment. :)

@Victor Excellent point. From here on out, I'll keep my ear to the ground.

It's a dead heat between Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams or Laphroaig quarter cask, decisions, decisions. :)

After reading @paddockjudge's comments I had to check out the cabinet @StevieC!... Can I come over and play sometime!? : )

Fouty-four OPEN bottles in my cabinet, who am I trying to kid? ... shouldn't be opening any bottles for a few months regardless of new releases or acquisitions.
The Whisky Weekend in Grimsby is little more than 100 days from now. My next bottle to open is Forty Creek Heart of Gold on the last weekend in September.

I picked up a bottle of Corsair Triple Smoke today. I'm going to save it for a potluck in July.

@Mantisking I would love to know what you think of it - many love it and it has won awards, but it just didn't work for me...

@talexander -- I haven't had the chance to sample it yet, so I'll be going in blind.

@Victor showed me around his neighborhood liquor stores
I left with: Ardbeg 10yo L13 003, Ardbeg Uigeadail L11 284, Bulleit 95 Rye, Macallan Cask Strength, and 2 bottles of Ardbeg Ardbog.
The Uigeadail is already open (and to all those interested avoid this batch: L11 284. It is lack luster) The Ardbog will be opened on Father’s Day
I’m curious to see how the 2013 Ardbeg TEN is doing. You simply can’t have enough of these bottles around!
