Not sure if this counts....I had a one oz sample of my first bottle of Heart of Gold by Forty Creek. I arranged a trade of some open bottles and provided samples of 4 of the special releases as a bonus. So my last dram became a sample and the book is now closed on that bottle...

@Jean-Luc

Just like your original slow burning Talisker 10, tonight, more than 3 years after opening my second bottle of Bladnoch ever, an 11 YO, I am sitting with my last 15 cc.

It has maintained its quality over 3 years! There is no way of knowing what the next bottle will taste like, even if it's an 11 YO, as all the bottlings are single cask and most were not numbered by the time I got them.

The new Bladnoch does not look like it will be anything like the Armstrong juice, and it's unclear what they are doing with the barrels that have been slumbering since the distillery closed.

I have about a dozen Bladnochs 10-12 YO from the Armstrong era, and given how much my range of whisky has expanded, and the fact that I've managed to finish 2 bottles in just under 5 years, I hope my collection will last me another 25-30 years...

Just like the Macallan CS, this sherry bruiser has a few notes that are just not found in other expressions like Glendronach, A'Bunadh and Amrut IS.

The next Bladnoch I will finish is my open 12 YO (the runt of the litter), but likely not for another year or so.

My Rock Hill Farms is now gone. Nursing it for 2 years while trying to get another. Blanton's Gold will have to suffice until I can find another.

Poured the last 2oz of Blanton's Gold into a sample bottle for a friend. It was a solid bourbon that only got better as it aired. Can't wait to open its replacement, a Blanton's Straight From The Barrel!

@Astroke Is rock hill farms really that hard to come by? There are a few stores around here that i could buy a bottle from, but never have because I don't like the price of around $55. The Blanton's Gold I just finished was great. If I could get similar flavors out of rockhill I'd pick up some.

@newreverie around me, Rock Hill Farms is a tough find, it only makes intermittent appearances. And those seem to be happening less frequently as time goes on. Hmmm... I have only seen 2 bottles of Blanton's recently...

Just finished the completely underwhelming Booker's 2015-3 "Center Cut". Good riddance.

@newreverie I actually bought the last bottle in Ontario over 2 years ago. Nursed it until now. I believe that Blanton's and RHF's share the same mash bill (I could be wrong on that )

Just finished an excellent affordable rum El Dorado 12 nice to be able to share with the wife she has ice and Coke while I drink neat as a sipper. There are not many aged drinks we can share like this without me going giddy when she pours Coke in.

The last dram followed a completely underwhelming Glenlivet Master distillers reserve, glad it was a gift so not paid for it, but what to do with the rest of the litre.

@Nozinan if only I had access to a still.

Going to leave for a month or 3 it can not get any worse for it, failing any improvement take a leaf from the wife's book and drown it in Coke. I couldn't fob it off on guests unless using as an example of what not to get me as a gift.

@jeanluc I have always enjoyed reading your intro to this thread. I always have trouble finishing of the last dram, especially if there isn't another bottle waiting to be opened. When is that perfect time?

Tonight I wanted a strong bourbon and something I hadn't reviewed yet, and, sadly (or happily), my bottle of OGD 114 fit the bill, one last delicious time.

Just finished my ORVW 10 107. I absolutely love Wheated Bourbon and this one is no exception. Thankfully I still have an unopened bottle left from my LCBO lottery win last year.

Springbank 10 year old, a solid and dependable go-to Scotch which still offers good value for money. I'll be replacing this bottle!

Redbreast 12 YO cask strength. This one disappeared rather quickly. I opened it on April 10 of last year. Most of my bottles last more than a year ( I currently have 38 bottles open more than a year, and of those, 23 open more than 2 years).

This last dram was in the bottle, gassed, and probably should have been decanted a while back. With a little water, it's approaching the 91 I gave it in my review. Next time I open a bottle of it I think I will be sure to decant early. I'm in the process of ordering different size glass bottles which I hope will last me a long time (I don't know where they all go each time I order more...).

Amrut Cask Strength Batch 15. Just enough to create a sample and about 5 cc left for me. This one is better than when I opened it, approaching but not quite matching the single bourbon cask I had a while back.

Recently finished an Aberlour 12. Incredible value for the money. Almost finished a Laphroaig Select. I don't know why so many people are angry at Laphroaig over this one. It's different and lighter, but still very enjoyable. I'm working on a Springbank 10 which is still 2/3 full. Thinking about trying an Old Pulteney 12 next.

I have finished my bottle of Springbank 10 yo. It is a delightful dram. It is a must try for beginners and it cannot be missed in any collection. I have compared it with Kilkerran 12 yo. I have to say Springbank is more enjoyable but it is most important that they are great whisky's which are affordable. I have been looking for an replacement of Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beast. I have found an Ardbeg which has similar tasting notes. It is 20 yo and it costs more than €400. I will not pay such an amount of money for a bottle of scotch. So I am very happy with Springbank 10 yo and Kilkerran 12 yo. And yes I am also happy with Ardbeg 10 yo. Anyway the Springbank 10 yo will be my next purchase.

Had a few friends around last night and finished off my bottle of Benriach Authenticus Peated 25 Year Old. A lovely Speyside peated whisky. Rich and complex with almonds on the nose. My friend described it as a 'Session Whisky'. Shame its shot up in price now. Might have to go for the 18 year old next time.

I finally finished our last bottles of the now-extinct Pikesville 40% abv rye, and of Jim Beam Green Label Rye 45% abv. As a cocktail I like rye in Diet Dr. Pepper, lots of ice, and some muddled sweet orange. The spicy prune flavour of Dr. Pepper works well with rye. At @dramlette's suggestion and without an orange I tried using some Cointreau in lieu of a slice of orange today. The Cointreau worked too.

As I prepare for a move, and have to rationalize the cabinet, I'm looking at all of these rarely touched and almost done drams and it's time to bite the bullet.

My last 25 cc each of Amrut Portonova and Intermediate Sherry have seen better days. Opened around 2013 and decanted the same year.... they are not as fabulous as they were when opened.

So today, on a whim, I combined the 2 heels into one bottle, 1 to 1, and it fit perfectly...not even a tiny air bubble. We'll let it marry for a while and see what happens when port meets sherry.

Tonight was the last Friday night dinner we'll be hosting at our house before the big move later this summer. I wanted to celebrate with a meaningful dram.

I searched through the cabinet and had a decanted 60 cc bottle of the last of my Springbank 12 YO CS Claretwood. So the end of the bottle for the end of our dinners here. A fitting dram.

Thankfully there is more sealed Claretwood in the bunker. It's a great expression.
