@BlueNote @cricklewood - It’s actually pretty good. I could use more of the rum cask influence but it’s nicely balanced and worth the $45 I paid for it

Last night I finished my bottle of Bearface Triple Oak 7 Year Old. This was a very interesting, mild, sweet, and fruity whisky. Review forthcoming.
Recently finished a bottle of glenlivet 18, which was out for guests during my 40th birthday shindig. I’ll post a pic soon to outline the generosity of some of my guests towards contributing to my scotch collection and a few gifts I gave to myself!

Just sipping the last of my Wiser’s Wendel Clark. It opened up nicely, and despite the low ABV (41.6%) it’s actually pretty good with a few drops of water.

@MadSingleMalt why were YOU drinking with HIS girlfriend?
@nooch A belated congrats on hitting 40. As I approach 50 I wish I were celebrating 40...
Mind you, when I turned 40 I would have celebrated with Diet Coke so at least I've advanced a little in 10 years...
@nooch, yes, a very happy 40th birthday to you!
@nooch, damn missed this too. Happy belated, welcome to 40
Please share your whisky porn lol
@OdysseusUnbound, would you buy another of those Clark ryes?
@RianC, I'll say this: The Jameson is perfect to have around the house for guests.
Last dram of Blair Athol 12 last night. A decent one for sure but won't be in a hurry to replace.
Sipping the last of my Kilkerran 12 in celebration of Rabbie Burns. Definitely will replace this bottle eventually.

Killed my Tomatin 12 tonight. This whisky was a pleasant surprise.

Has anyone tried the Tomatin 18 YO? I’ve had my eyes on it for sometime.

@DaveM I reviewed a mini-sample of it here but it may have been an older bottling. I know Tomatin has updated their packaging. I don't know if the 18 Year expression has been revamped. I liked it enough that I'd be willing to buy a bottle, if the price was right.

@OdysseusUnbound I knew there was new packaging done on the Tomatin line. I was unaware if anything had changed on the whisky itself.
@DaveM I've not personally tried it. I have seen positive reviews of it online though.

Just finished my first bottle of Benromach 10 100 proof last week.
Loved it. Will be getting another bottle before too long.

@Wierdo That is definitely an excellent expression. If only it were more readily available...

@OdysseusUnbound I quite liked the Tomatin 12, my brother and I killed a couple of bottles this past fall/winter, I thought it was good value.
@Nozinan I heard the Ben 10/100 will be discontinued and replaced by a Cask Strength NAS release, I haven't been able to find much info on this but I found the 10/100 to be getting harder to find so perhaps corresponds to it being phased out
@cricklewood good thing I have a couple stashed away.
@cricklewood if that's the case I'd better grab a couple quick!
