This is the result of my last expedition in Ontario. There are a few items that find there way to Ontario after a departure from Calgary. In any case, I am happy, very happy.

@Robert99 Nice! Those old AIS boxes are big and gaudy.

It hasn't arrived yet, but I have ordered another Kilkerran 12 just because the first one was so damned good.

@OdysseusUnbound you guys are killing me with this Kilkerran nonsense. But the joke's on you. I've scored a sample and will soon see what the fuss is about...

@OdysseusUnbound I've been looking at the Kilkerran and trying not to pull the trigger because I have so many bottles and am trying not to have more than I started the year with (currently 3 below!). But every day or 2 I read arbour how good the Kilkerran is, making it harder to not buy a bottle.

But now, thanks to @Robert99, I have a sample so should be able to see for myself...

@Nozinan I’m just puzzled at the tag is all....I’ve never mentioned Kilkerran. I’ve never tried one. Hence my confusion. Maybe I’ll have to buy one.

@OdysseusUnbound Ah, I see. Not sure how that happened. I pressed the reply button and I would have expected it to have @BlueNote where your handle was.

Sorry.

@Robert99, from the photo, if I could choose only one bottle it would be the Pikesville Rye. That is one hell of a great and diverse line-up!

@paddockjudge Not surprising...as you claim rye to be the superior grain.

But I would go with the IS. It was sad to see that baby go...even though it was never really mine to start with...

Home at last, I had plans to hit the LCBO at Bayview since in one fell swoop I could have picked up wiser's 35, Redbreast 12 CS, kilkerran 12 and Deanston 10 PX CS. That plan was sabotaged by...Lot 40 CS!

Somebody returned 6 bottles this morning in Toronto I just checked the listing by fluke by the time I called all that remained was 1. It took me out of my way so I chose to use my remaining time and budget to buy my girlfriend a nice gift. Still happy with my reduced haul.

@Robert99 I just can't find the AIS here in Nashville. I can find all the other Amruts except that one. And that's the one I want :(

@BlueNote - I got one for the bunker before I'd tasted the first . . . I can say now it wasn't a mistake!

@Nozinan - Be interested to hear your take on it.

Just ordered the Highland Park Full Volume from LCBO. Just came in stock. $129 for a 17yo bourbon finish HP? Don’t mind if I do. Love that distillery.

@nooch I got one in the original release they had back in Oct. Have only cracked it once so far so I haven't had a chance to really sit with it. The first surprise was I almost broke the cork off trying to open it. There is a small thread on the top that you have the give the cork a quarter turn for it to release. I guess being left handed I don't often open my whisky the same way as others!

@boatracer thanks for the heads up. I’ve never seen a thread on a cork. You must’ve gotten one of the few bottles in the initial release. They went quickly.

@boatracer Thanks as well for the cork heads up. I was going to open it this weekend.

@cricklewood The two you picked in Toronto were the one I would have get next, probably with Stagg Jr, if I wouldn't have been completely exhausted and broke.

@casualtorture Now that you got our PK, let me have the AIS to forget how much fun he was to watch.
