I’ve been collecting the labels from spent whisky bottles for about a year or so buy soaking the bottles in a basin of warm soapy water.
Usually, they either come off by them selves or, with just a little bit of teasing.
However, certain brands are harder to remove than others.
Glenmorangie and Ardbeg being among he worst. The adhesive is so strong that I haven’t been able to even get a portion of a single label intact.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips..?
From some personal experience the best was to remove "newer" labels (Pressure Sensitive Labels) is to use a heat gun. I'm not sure what the technical term for heat gun is but we are having to use an aggressive adhesive and the only way to fix a labeling error after about 60 seconds is to heat them. You may have some luck with a hair dryer but here is an example of what we use. goo.gl/jnQpH
