They are not that different from each other, so this review will be short so I'm not repeating myself (or boring the shit out of you). This one is No. 000024678, with the same barreling date, age and warehouse. Maybe they were buddies, playing cards and singing sea shanties together for 8 1/2 years while under lock and key.
The colour is just a hair darker than the previous barrel. The nose is a bit punchier and fruitier; take the same notes as the last one, but add lemon drops, more oak and sour cherries. Mustier with water.
Punchier on the palate too, with blackberries, bovril and 90% dark chocolate. Much oakier with water. Not quite as spicy as the previous one. Still fantastic.
The finish is deeper with less chili but more cumin and nutmeg. Subtle differences - this seems like it has aged a bit longer, with even more wood influence - perhaps it was a touch higher up? Regardless, great bourbon both of them.
