Happy birthday @Nock ! I’ll have to pour something heavily peated in your honour later. Maybe some Cairdeas Fino Cask.

Happy Birthday @Nock! Not sure how you feel about An Oa, but it’s the only Ardbeg that I have at the moment. I will raise a dram in your honor later today (it’s only 9am right now). Hope you have a great day of dramming!

Today I was thinking of you and nearly sent an email with a pic of the OCTO 10 I’m holding for you on 10/10/2020.
I didn’t realize it was your birthday. Interesting indeed the things we have tucked away in our memory, sometimes we need a nudge.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Wishing you many more!

Thank you @Victor for the kind words. I am sorry my birthday brings up memories of your lost car! But, I guess it is all tied together. I appreciate your friendship and look forward to tasting with you again.
Thanks @RianC which batch of Flaming Heart? @Nozinan I hope it was an Octomore! And thank you @NamBeist and birthday wishes!
@OdysseusUnbound I just finally rebottled my Cairdeas Fino Cask after being open a year and a half. I only have 250mL left. I really like it.
@bwmccoy – I have owned exactly one bottle of An Oa . . . and I won’t rebuy. It isn’t bad. After all, it is an Ardbeg! It just isn’t what I am looking for in an Ardbeg. Still, I deeply appreciate the thought.
@paddockjudge yes . . . I am greatly desirous of that bottle. Someday soon my friend.
@fiddich1980 thanks for the very kind words. I have been absent of late. And my obsession with batch variation is slowing to a dull roar.
A dram to all of you fine individuals! Hopefully someday we can all sit around a share a tasting.
Last year I opened a slew of Octomores. This year it was several Port Charlottes.
That MC:01 is certainly a standout. The PC7 and PC8 will likely need some air time before they get good.

@Nock - A fitting line up - I do like me some Port Charlotte! I'm still sitting on a Port Charlotte 10 2nd edition. Maybe I'll open It over Xmas ...
It was the 2018 version of Flaming Heart - I really like the balance between the herbal peat and soft fruitiness with the waxy mouthfeel.

@Nock Belated Happy Birthday. I always enjoy your contributions to our discussions here.
Cheers, I’ll toast your health with a dram of my Port Charlotte 10 year old later.
Sounds like we will or should have been wishing you a happy birthday some time this month too. Whatever day it is treat yourself kindly. Speak softly and carry a large glencairn.

@Nozinan I'm old enough at this point that I try to forget the birthdays!
Mine falls on the 1st and my anniversary on the 10th. My wife has put up with me for 28 years, God bless her!
@TracerBullet - A belated happy birthday to you then!
