This is it, the 29th of May! Happy Birthday @paddockjudge and @talexander. Thank you for being good friends and stalwart whiski enthusiasts! Ontario x 2, separated by 4 hours in the car.
I am so happy to have had a number of face to face tastings with each of you.

I wished @paddockjudge and @talexander happy birthdays off Connosr today but no one wants to be left out, COVID or no COVID. So, a happy birthday to two of my friends, and whisky educators. May you have many more years to enjoy life and friendship!

Thank you friends, for the well wishes and kind words. I’m enjoying a couple of pours with family while feasting on treats from the grill and seemingly endless platters of chocolate coated strawberries made by my youngest daughter…. 27 YO Speyside (Secret) sherry cask at cask strength… the guesses are Glenglassaugh, Tormore, and Glen Grant.
Cheers.

Thanks everyone. I know I'm not as active on here but I appreciate the bday wishes and support.
I had an easygoing night & cracked open a new gen Benriach 12 that was gifted by my brother the occasion. A lovely fruity, waxy little number that punched well above it's weight.

@Nock, Happy Birthday!
The line on you not liking what I select is 4:1. I will defy those odds and offer a toast with 1997 Caol Ila 23 YO First Fill Sherry Butt 59.9% abv by Gordon & MacPhail... may good health lead the way and good luck follow closely.
Cheers!

@Victor thank you sir for the kind Birthday wishes! I hope to share a tasting with you before too much longer. I think it has been over 4 years since out last get together. And thank you @Nozinan also! I hope you drank an Octomore!
I opened a bottle of Octomore 11.3 for my birthday. I now have all the .3's from 6.3 - 11.3. I hope to get my hands on a bottle of 12.3 at some point . . . but it looks like they are mostly sold out.
I spent my birthday weekend moving my wife into an apartment up on Maryland. So now I am sharing a state with @Victor! I will be commuting between Maryland and Virginia for the next 6 to 8 months. We will see how that goes.

This thread began 9 years ago with birthday wishes to @Dramlette from @paddockjudge and many others. It seems appropriate to remember her joyful and youthful spirit again today. I am raising a toast in her memory. I am honored to have known her.

I found myself thinking often about @Dramlette yesterday, and now I know why.
While an audit team was buzzing about the workplace, numerous times I was caught in a flashback. What a beautiful distraction!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY@Dramlette! Your beauty and kindness is timeless.

Every time I see a Trader Joe's product I recall that @Dramlette walked to the store and back and sent me that Drinking Chocolate that I had missed out on 6 months earlier.
Of course it's not about the chocolate... it's about the kind and generous person she was.

Happy Birthday, @Wierdo! Wishing you good health and many more birthdays....with a wee pour of Dewar's 21 YO (definitely a breakfast whisky regardless of the 46% abv.).
