Jameson Gold Reserve

Reviewed from a bar sample, late in the bottle.

Nose: lots of honey and vanilla; a bit floral from carnations. A pleasant nose, but with not much intensity

Taste: VERY sweet honey flavours with lots of pot still style citrus and understated wood flavours. On the palate the vanilla is less noticeable than is the honey. Quite enjoyable

Finish: nice gradual sweet glowing fade-out...like a fire slowly dying. Sweet leads to a little bit of bitter at the end

Balance: when a very pleasant sweet treat is what you want, this is every bit of that!
