Paired with a Habonos Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchill - first off IMHO this cigar is one of the better Habonos out there on the market. The aroma of this cigar is what you would expect from a great habonos cigar (notes of chocolate, apple, burnt caramel & sweet toffee with a creamy rich and toasty undertone). It paired extremely well with Stranahan Diamond Peak - the fruity richness and berry undertones enhanced the smokey aroma and flavor of both the cigar and whiskey. There are some very faint sherry notes there as well right at the finish which resembles some of the well known Single Malt Spyside scotch whiskeys. Overall this a very smooth Single Malt and thus far one of my favorites (have to taste test to be sure, but somewhat reminds me of Pappy Van Winkle).

@SingleMaltz, you and I both tried Stranahan's Diamond Peak together for the first time last night. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your new bottle as much as we enjoyed the samples at the store.

Various online sources report that Diamond Peak, despite having no age statement, is always aged for 4 years. Standard yellow label Stranahan's, also without an age statement, is just loosely referred to as '2 to 5 years old'.
