Picked this up on a business trip to Atlanta last week. This is only my second experience with wheated whiskey, Larceny being the only other.

Bottle opened 1 week and 90% full.

Nose: Apple pie, blackberry cobbler, butter, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, honey and almonds.

Palate: Cranberry juice. Vanilla, fruity and very light. The plot here is light and sweet. The mouthfeel is very light. What begins as cranberry juice and tart granny smith apple turns sweeter the more its held. Vanilla, honey, and green apple notes combine with a plentiful amount of sugary sweetness. Some sips are a bit astringent as if the cranberry juice is too tart. But as long as it's held on the palate for a few seconds this disappears. Patience.

Finish: The finish, short/medium length, is also tart. Sour apple skittles. More cranberry juice. Vanilla sweetness rounds things off at the very end.

Overall: Definitely an apertif. Green apple pie, cranberry, and vanilla. Light mouthfeel. Good entry into wheated whiskey.
