@Jean-Luc Yep and there is more snow on the way so they say. But we aren't running out of whisky anytime soon. ;-)

Congratulations to the Glendronach distillery for acquiring the Maltmaniacs award and many others, with the Glendronach 15y Revival. You're on my wishlist!

Anyone interested in a free sample of a peated Connemara whiskey? Or a free ticket for the whisky festival in Gent if you happen to live in Belgium. I'm having a small contest on my website: www.whiskynotes.be

@ WhiskyNotes: as it happens, my tickets arrived today, but I might give it a shot for a sample of the Connemara. OK if I put this on my blog as well or would you rather I don't?

@Piero, no need to apologise! Au contraire - this is exactly what reviews are for. I'll let you know whether or not you've been to harsh (imho) on the poor dram asap.

The thing is the guy who bought it for me really likes it. But having said that he's not really into whisky.

I think its probably quite easy going, my problem is I've tried some pretty interesting stuff recently so this just didn't cut it.

It's a bit unreal that your online cabinet appears to have only full bottles! Not the case in real life I can tell you...

@Dennis someone suggested having an indicator for how much is in the bottles but I thought that was a step too far :-)

@jl & @dennis if we start putting bottle levels on the cabinet our wives and partners will be logging on to track our misdemeanours. Don't do it Jean-Luc!

@jackson04, I too would like to know what you thought of the Toshan 12 YO. As for your new bottle, have you ever considered trying an Irish dram? I would recommend Bushmills 1608 or the Redbreast 12 YO. Another great Toshan is the Three Wood. And what about the American Bernheim Original?

@whiskysamples.eu, nice to see you here too, sir! Your samples are exquisite and I hear a lot of good things about you. I will be talking too you soon, but want to try some 'regular' whisky before getting into your wonderful exclusive drams!
