@LeFrog it set me back 70 EUR, but I believe it to be totally worth it. I just couldn't resist.

@Connosr I didn't see a feature request discussion thread so I'll just throw this at you here, but I think it would be really great if there were a link on a whisky page to "request reviews" that would send a notice to the members who had that whisky in their cabinet. For instance, I am interested in reading some opinions on Gentleman Jack, and though 59 members own it there are no reviews at current. I use this feature heavily on another site about another topic, and it is a great way to flesh out the content library while serving specific member information needs.

Anyone drank Hazelwood 105, 107 or Monkey Shoulder?

@Tommie-Jones I enjoyed Monkey Shoulder when I tried it, believe it's a vatted malt.

Did a partial update of my cabinet. I still have about 20 bottles with a few measures in them and 11 SMWS bottles with a little more than that. Not going to add them to the cabinet.

Finished off the Jameson bottle last night. Only a flaskfull is left. Had a Sazerac Rye & Coke. It was better than I expected, much smoother than the Jameson & Coke.

I had left Japan never to return and never to see my Whiskey collection again in December. Or so I thought. Back now and discovered that the ex only poured out the bottle of Jack Daniels I had and thankfully left the rest alone. While back in the states, I bought a bottle of Forty Creek Canadian, but it's no sitting on the bottom shelf of one of my mother's cupboard.

Greetings to all from Andy McNeill, a friend of mine. Just sampling some of his collection and enjoying it!

What a question! Anyone watching "Who wants to be a millionaire?" last night would have heard the candidate being asked which whisky glass is used to taste a whisky - a mouthing glass, a tonguing glass, or a nosing glass - the candidate had no clue! Wish I had been in his place!!!

Does anyone know how to get in touch with MasterOfMalt.com ? I have an ordering question, and I have not received a response to 2 e-mails and a phone call to their USA number (all from their website). Maybe someone in the UK can ring them to confirm their e-mail address and phone ... (thanks) ?

@AboutChoice Master of Malt pride themselves on their excellent customer service so it may be a technical problem. We will contact them on your behalf and put you in touch.

Crushing defeat for the mighty Manchester United in Europe tonight. Anyone else consoling themselves with a dram? I'm finishing an old Wild Turkey Rare Breed...

@dougwatts I'm with you - not a good week for English football. Another Ardbeg Rollercoaster to ease the pain.

Finally back from a (Star Wars) convention (my other hobby) in Germany. A friend brought me a bottle of Bushmills 10 YO, but it didn't survive the weekend. So I got another one :-) Glad to be back though. Looking forward to posting some more tasting notes soon. Missed the site... ah, I have some new acquisition to put in my cabinet too...

Just added two new bottles from Malts of Scotland to my cabinet. Port Charlotte 2001 and Westport 2000. Westport, you say? Never heard of it. Very well possible as this is 99,99% Glenmorangie, teaspooned with 0,01% Glen Moray (Glenmorangie does not allow for independent bottles to be marketed and thus must be teaspooned and sold under a different name). This Westport is absolutely wonderful and a stunner of only 40 EUR.

For UK members, Sainsbury's has 20% of all whisky. £31.30 for Lagavulin 16, £26.40 for Glenfiddich 18 and a crazy £11 for their Sainsbury's Irish Single Malt (Cooley). Good times.

Their website has their whiskies showing 20% off - so it seems so. @LeFrog
