I have recently taken up posting video reviews on YouTube under the banner 'Mark's Whisky Ramblings'. Should this be of interest to you, feel free to check them out. My YT ID = markjedi1. So far, there are 5 Whisky Ramblings online: WhiskyBlender's 1st Xperiment, Glenmorangie Lasante, Tamdhu 18 Year Old, Whisky Festival Ghent and Littlemill 1990 Malts of Scotland. I plan to publish two videos per month (approx). Enjoy!

The 7th video can now also be found online, discussing club bottlings in general and reviewing a young Bowmore in particular. Check it out at youtu.be/CSR3L0EvQdg. Enjoy.

@markjedi1 @markjedi1 I thought it was very good, well studied background info and a good talk through the flavours. It would be great if you did one recommending Belgian Spirits as I know very little about them.

@Mountrain I'll keep that in mind for future editions, although I have yet to come accross a Belgian whisky that is sufficiently to my liking to turn it into a video review.

Dear Mark, I really really enjoy watching your videos. Love those Infos about the destilleries, the history, the producing procedure, the bottelers, ... And although I'm not native english speaking, I can understand you very well. And I am often just a bit lazy to read stuff, so your vblog is just awesome in my opinion! I subscribed and I'm hoping for lots of videos to come in the near future. Maybe a Glenfarclas, Dalmore or your speciality Auchentoshan next time?

Greetings

@Wills I'm not a native speaker either! :) Glad you like the videos. I do have three Auchentoshan videos in the works and will also have a Dalmore soon, promise. I plan to release two videos per month.

@Wills The Dalmore 15 Year Old or the Dalmore King Alexander, I'm still thinking about it.

I am so free to make some promotion, whisky rambling #9 by toshanman out there in the air ;) youtube.com/watch/…

Very nice video again, so informative! The only suggestion for improvement is to sync that sound better.

Greetings

@Wills Thanks, man. Yes, you are right, sound sync is slightly problematic. The longer the video, the more trouble it gives me for some reason. Working on it. For those who want to know: Rambling 9 is a head-to-head of two Ardbeg Committee Bottlings: the Rollercoaster versus the Alligator. Enjoy!

Whisky Rambling no. 10 is now available on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. It's about the Auchentoshan Valinch. You can check it out at youtu.be/_1pSVU2B_fs. Enjoy!

@markjedi1, I enjoyed your Auchentoshan Valinch youtube very much. You are quite effective and entertaining presenting in English. Sounds like you learned your English from a Scotsman! The Valinch recently entered my queue for acquiral, and I am delighted to hear a pep talk about its prospective merits.

(When mentioning about Auchentoshan your sympathy for the underdog...that is after all the history of Belgium.)

@markjedi1 My friend you REALLY make me want to start doing my own vlogs, but I think I would turn people away from whisky as opposed to making them want to taste it hahahahaha!

After watching several "episodes" of you vlog, I would like to congratulate you on your presentation, tasting notes and the level of knowledge you bring to each review.

If I may, I would like to make one small suggestion. Please invest in a good directional microphone for your camera. My only complaint is how "tinny" the sound of the recordings are. Otherwise, well done!

@SquidgyAsh If your vlogs are as fun to watch as your reviews are to read, which I'm sure they would be, you'd have at least my subscription! Not much, I know, but like Mick Jagger said, you can't always get what you want. :D

@markjedi1 Just wanted to add my "two drams". Last night, I watched a couple of your reviews on YouTube. Well done ! I really like your background information and video clips/pictures of the distillery that you include. Lots of extra work for you, I'm sure but very much appreciated. Thank you, Mark.

@SlowPuffs Thanks for the kind words! They are a lot of work, true, but a lot of fun to make as well - and I too learn a thing or two while researching the background info.

I have just returned from Tunisia, where I restored an iconic Star Wars movie set to its full glory with a couple of friends. It goes without saying that I had to celebrate that with a dram. So check out this new whisky rambling on YouTube: youtube.com/watch/…, the Highland Park Leif Eriksson at the Lars Homestead. Enjoy!

Nice job as usual Mark! You seem to have a really nice time down there in Tunesia. I had to laugh several times while watching your new videos, funny friends you got with you :)

I visited Tunesia once and the thing I remember most is those sellers at the markets running behind you yelling "Only 10 Dinar for you! Only 10 Dinar!"
