Let us end this little line-up of Glenlivet with a 36 Year Old from 1975, bottled by the Italian company Wilson & Morgan, in their Barrel Selection series in 2010. It came from a first fill sherry cask, judging by the color.

Wonderfully expressive nose on all kinds of dark fruits, but what makes him really special is a hint of struck match (without becoming sulphury). Orangettes. Good spices, too. Nutmeg and cloves and a hint of green tea.

It glides over the tongue, very rich in flavour. Both juicy and dried fruit (sultanas, oranges), with some milk chocolate and spices. Almond paste. Walnuts. The tea is more outspoken and makes it a bit dry. Does not need water at all. Quite complex.

Long, good, warm finish on oranges and green tea.

This is probably one of the best Glenlivet I have tried so far. Very aromatic and tasty with a long finish. What more can you ask for?
