Distilled in 1996, Bottled in 2008. Light and golden in color, this drinks stronger than it looks and sounds. It brings to mind a rocky shore with little in the way of comfort. But sometimes that's what you're looking for.
Once open for a while it goes like this: Starting sweet smelling with butterscotch, caramel, and dates this lands with a silky feel and then hits with some heather, and a rich mouth feel. It coats and makes itself known strongly on the palate. This feeling lingers, and that's what I like about this dram. The finish is the thing here, it lasts, and you 'get' the charcoal.
